collaborate with artist Sean Tseng

‘The Exhilarating Silence’ is a two person exhibition featuring two artists Sara Wu and Sean Tseng. They draw on the parallels between the two artists— both are interested in perception and space, working collaboratively for the very first time on a work of art which takes place the whole gallery space by glass, mirror and painted objects. The artists create several shades of surfaces in the work through juxtaposing everyday objects and playing with ideas of perspective and depth to imply various ways of seeing.

It is worth noting that during the exhibition, the artists ask viewers to stay behind the glass and go around outside the gallery to experience distance between the artwork and views by each pane of glass. The function of these everyday objects are transformed from being used and touched, to solely looked at, making coloured transparency be as the vehicle of otherness.
